As the lockdown continues, and the search for toilet paper intensifies, some of us still need to buy and/or sell a home or investment property. Buyers are understandably few and far between but the number of properties on the market has also dropped so even under these conditions selling a property is still very much on the cards. Buyers and sellers alike need to be realistic, considerate and work within the parameters we now face. Buyers: please do not attempt to look at property if you have traveled overseas recently or have any of the symptoms of COVID. Also have consideration for the seller; wear a mask and gloves if necessary – remember this is someone else’s home so respect their efforts to keep and maintain a sanitary environment. Sellers: you have a desire to sell so whether the property is vacant or occupied please take the necessary steps to make sure the property can be viewed. But don’t be afraid to make requests from the buyers so you are comfortable with strangers entering your home at these difficult times.
